Nutrition Therapist, Ayurvedic, Western and Traditional Chinese Herbalist
European herbalism is something that was part of the healing repertoire of my mother and grandmother while growing up in Germany. A time of serious illness that my wife went through in 2010 helped me fully realize the wonderful benefits herbs can provide to our health. This is what started my journey to become a clinical herbalist and nutrition therapist. I completed my studies in clinical herbalism through the PCC Institute for Health Professionals with renowned natural healing expert Karta Purkh (K.P.) Khalsa in 2014 and my training in Nutrition Therapy through the International Integrative Educational Institute in January of 2018.
As a clinical herbalist and nutrition therapist, I work with you to assess your health patterns and to develop a plan of action that addresses the underlying conditions and symptomatic issues you are experiencing. Your consultation includes an in depth evaluation followed up with a written synopsis of herbal, dietary and lifestyle recommendations specific to your needs, based on current nutrition science and ancient healing traditions. It is important to me to work closely with you, empowering you through education and resources, so you feel confident in taking charge of your health.
I come from a long line of Professional Chefs, and also have a great deal of experience working with and around food allergies, including mastering the art of gluten free baking and gluten free breads! When I’m not in the office I enjoy growing vegetables and medicinal herbs, cooking whole food meals from scratch, hiking in the beautiful landscapes Oregon has to offer, traveling the world, or doing some extra consulting work as a permaculture designer.
